Disordered Eating, Eating Disorders and Intuitive Eating

We live in a world dominated by diet culture - one that treats weight loss as a moral obligation and food as something that must be earned, tracked, or restricted. This constant pressure can easily lead to a fractured relationship with food, chronic body dissatisfaction, and disordered eating patterns.

With specialised training in eating disorder recovery and a deep understanding of intuitive eating principles, I am here to guide you on a compassionate path toward healing your relationship with food and your body. Together, we will work to cultivate body trust, honour your hunger cues, and find true peace with food.

Who This Support Is For

My approach is non-judgemental, trauma-informed, and highly tailored to your unique lived experience. This specialised nutritional coaching is particularly beneficial if you find yourself struggling with:

  • Emotional Eating: Eating when bored, stressed, or to soothe difficult emotions.

  • Food Guilt: Feeling extremely anxious or guilty after eating certain foods.

  • The Diet Cycle: Getting stuck in restrictive, rigid patterns or chronic yo-yo dieting.

  • Fear Foods: Intentionally avoiding essential macronutrients like fats or carbohydrates.

  • Loss of Control: Experiencing binge eating or feeling completely out of control around food.

  • Body Pre-occupation: Living with a constant, overwhelming desire for weight loss.

  • Constant Food Noise: Feeling like thoughts of food, calories, and your body control your daily life.

Eating Disorder Recovery Support

For clients aged 18 years and over who are medically stable.

If you are seeking professional support for Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Orthorexia, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), or Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED), I offer a safe, respectful, and compassionate space to begin your recovery journey.

My specialised training in evidence-based eating disorder treatment, combined with a holistic, non-diet framework, allows me to address both the nutritional and emotional aspects of healing. I will work closely with you to develop a personalised plan that honours your unique needs and goals, while prioritising your long-term physical and psychological well-being.

Important Clinical Intake Requirements

As part of my commitment to providing safe, ethical, and comprehensive care, my practice operates under strict clinical guidelines for eating disorder management:

  • Age Limit: Clients must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Medical Stability: Clients must be medically stable at the time of consultation.

  • Multidisciplinary Care: I require all eating disorder clients to be actively linked in with regular medical support (a GP) and psychological support (a psychologist or therapist).

This collaborative, team-based approach ensures that you receive the integrated, multi-faceted care necessary for a successful and sustainable recovery.
